The NSW Government is improving accessibility at Kingswood Station as part of the Transport Access Program.
The project aims to provide a station precinct that is accessible to those with a disability, limited mobility, parents/carers with prams and customers with luggage
Key features of the project include:
two new lifts and stairs to provide access to each station platform
new accessible pathways throughout the station precinct
new station entrances on the Great Western Highway and the corner of Park Avenue and Richmond Road
improved amenities such as a new ambulant toilet and family accessible toilet.
Community Consultation
The Review of Environmental Factors (REF) was on public display from Friday 16 November until Friday 30 November 2018. The REF and supporting documentation was available for viewing at Penrith City Library, the Transport for NSW Chatswood office and digitally on this web page.
Stakeholders and the community were invited to submit feedback on the proposed designs during the public display period.
Submissions received during the public display period of the planning documentation are currently being reviewed by the project team, and will be formally responded to in a determination report.
This report will also state whether the project has received planning approval to proceed, and specify the conditions of approval. An update will be provided to the community once a decision has been made.
