Canley Vale to Warwick Farm Infrastructure Upgrade
Transport for NSW acknowledges the Darug and Tharawal people as the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we work and pay respects to Elders past and present. We recognise and celebrate the diversity of Aboriginal peoples and their ongoing cultures and connections to the lands and waters of NSW.
The NSW Government is upgrading rail infrastructure between Canley Vale to Warwick Farm as part of the More Trains, More Services program.
This program will simplify and modernise the rail network creating high capacity, turn up and go services for many customers. The next stages of the program include integrating Sydney Metro City and Southwest into Sydney’s train network.
Key benefits
Upgrading electrical infrastructure between Canley Vale and Warwick Farm to meet the increased power demand associated with the deployment of additional fleet on various lines. This will integrate the 2024 timetable into the existing Sydney Trains network as part of the introduction of the Sydney Metro City and South West railway.”
Works will occur within and adjacent to the rail corridor between Canley Vale and Warwick Farm to modify and upgrade overhead wiring equipment.
Project Status
A contract has been awarded to Transport for Tomorrow, an alliance between Transport for NSW, Laing O’Rourke and KBR, to start early work for the Canley Vale to Warwick Farm Infrastructure Upgrade project.
Early investigation work will start in November and include:
