Dapto Station

Transport for NSW acknowledges the Dharawal people as the traditional custodians of the Illawarra and pay our respect to Elders past and present.

What are we doing at Dapto Station?

The More Trains, More Services program will simplify and modernise the rail network creating high capacity, more frequent and reliable services between Sydney CBD and the South Coast.

As part of the program, we are extending the platforms at Dapto Station.

Station improvements include:

  • upgrading lighting, closed circuit television, the passenger announcement system, tactile paving and line marking for improved customer safety as required
  • realigning and installing new overhead wiring and signalling equipment
  • demolishing existing and constructing a new maintenance building and track modifications.

Other work in this area

Planning is currently under way to improve accessibility at Dapto Station.

The upgrade at Dapto Station is being delivered as part of the Transport Access Program, a NSW Government initiative to provide a better experience for public transport customers by delivering accessible, modern, secure and integrated transport infrastructure across the state. As part of the program, the Dapto Station Upgrade would aim to provide a station precinct that is accessible to those with a disability, limited mobility, parents/carers with prams and customers with luggage.
