Have Your Say: Proposed No Right Turn from Windsor Road into Landscape Street, Baulkham Hills

Transport for NSW is proposing to remove the right turn from Windsor Road into Landscape Street and Windsor Road, Baulkham Hills.

What’s this about

Community members and residents from Landscape Street have expressed their concerns about the crashes that have occurred at the intersection of Windsor Road and Landscape Street.

Windsor Road experiences heavy traffic in both directions, with between 1400 and 1700 vehicles in each direction during morning and afternoon peak times.

Right turn crashes at the intersection of Windsor Road and Landscape Street have resulted in serious injuries with cars waiting to turn right onto Landscape Street being struck by a southbound vehicle travelling towards Northmead. Traffic turning right across heavy traffic travelling through this intersection, combined with high vehicle speeds and high level of vehicle movements increases the risk and seriousness of crashes and injury.

Benefits

Removing the right turn from Windsor Road into Landscape Street will:

  • improve safety by reducing the risk of accidents when turning right from Windsor Road, which involves crossing multiple lanes of traffic.
  • ease traffic flow along Windsor Road by reducing congestion caused by vehicles attempting to right turn onto Landscape Street.

Have Your Say

Transport would like to receive your feedback on this proposal. A Have Your Say community consultation will run between Monday 31 March to Sunday 13 April.

After this consultation period, Transport will carefully review all feedback and a consultation report will be released to summarise the comments received, our responses and the next steps for the proposal.
