A Transition to Zero Emission Buses
Transport for NSW is committed to transitioning its fleet of 8,000 plus diesel and compressed natural gas buses to zero emissions technology. The project supports key government initiatives to reaching net zero CO2 emissions by 2050 and will deliver significant environmental, economic and customer benefits.

None of this is possible without your valuable input and so we have developed a survey which is designed to assist Transport for NSW understand the opportunities, challenges and constraints of transitioning to ZEB technology in Regional and Outer Metropolitan areas. The objectives of gathering your feedback are to:
Develop a higher level of detail on technical requirements including bus fleet, depots and charging implementation options
Identify current technology options on the market e.g. new battery electric bus products/configurations
Gain a deeper understanding of the unique challenges posed and potential mitigations with transitioning to ZEB in regional areas
Re-validate or update current ZEB transition planning in line with operator expectations
