Why do you need access to my property?
We need access to collect information that will help us plan and design the proposed Fifteenth Avenue upgrade.
All properties in the project area require a land survey. Some properties may also require ground investigations, such as test pits, boreholes or groundwater monitoring wells.

Why do you need to locate underground services?
We need to understand where existing underground services are located so they can be considered as part of the project design.
This helps us plan the project and reduce potential impacts on existing services.
Why can't you do the investigations from the area outside my property?
Some of the information we need can only be collected from within private property. This helps us gain a more complete understanding of existing conditions and ensures the information used to develop the project is accurate.
What happens if the investigations disturb my property?
We will take care to minimise impacts while carrying out our work.
If any areas are disturbed, we will restore them as close as practical to their original condition.
Who will be visiting my property?
Transport for NSW or its contractors may need to visit the property.
All members of our field team will carry identification, and property owners or tenants can ask to see this identification at any time.
Why are you asking for access now?
As the project continues to develop, additional investigations are needed to refine the design, confirm existing conditions and support future project activities. The access form also allows us to record your access requirements and contact details should future investigations be needed on your property.
Do I have to be present when your people visit?
No. You do not need to be present during our visit. Before we visit, we will contact you at least 48 hours in advance (unless you have requested different arrangements) and work with you to confirm access requirements.
If you would prefer to be present when we attend your property, please let us know and we will work with you to arrange a suitable time.
What if I do not provide access to my property?
We would prefer to work with property owners to arrange access by agreement wherever possible.
If access is not provided, we will first consider whether the required information can be obtained from another location or by using an alternative investigation method.
However, in some cases, access to a specific property may be necessary to carry out investigations or collect information required for the project. If this occurs, Transport for NSW may seek access using powers available under relevant legislation.
If you have concerns about providing access, please contact the project team. We are happy to discuss the proposed investigations and any questions you may have.
Will providing access affect any future property acquisition discussions?
No. Providing access for investigations does not affect your rights as a property owner or the property acquisition process.
Access is being requested so that surveys and investigations can be completed and accurate information can be collected to support project planning, design and property assessments.
