Redfern North Eveleigh Precinct Renewal

The NSW Government is transforming the Redfern North Eveleigh Precinct into a great new place for Sydney.

Joining together transport, education, health and creative destinations, the new precinct will build on the area’s rich history, integrating with existing communities.

Development in the precinct will create the jobs of the future, provide housing and enable new places for people to socialise.

Online community survey

The online community survey has now closed. Feedback received will feed into the precinct's draft Strategic Vision Framework, which will set the vision and guide future development by establishing design principles and looking at opportunities for urban renewal on the site.

If you would like to receive future updates about the precinct, please email projects@transport.nsw.gov.au and ask to join the Redfern North Eveleigh Precinct mailing list.

  • CLOSED: This survey has concluded.

We have been working to understand what people want in their community, and what they don’t like. By reviewing the community feedback on previous projects in the area, we believe community interests can be grouped into five design principles:

    1. History
    2. Community and environment
    3. Culture
    4. Connectivity
    5. Jobs of the future

This online survey is the first engagement step in the planning process and will be open until Sunday 4 October 2020.
